Albany, NY: Frescoes are being painted in the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God

In the recently constructed Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God in the capital of New York, Albany, the walls are being painted with marvelous frescoes. The iconographer, Archpriest Theodore Jurewicz, is a cleric of the Nativity of Christ Church in Erie, PA. Fr. Theodore is a student of the Jordanville School of Iconography, and studied for many years under the famous Diasporan iconographer, the ever-memorable Archimandrite Kyprian (Pyzhov). Fr. Theodore hopes to finish the frescoes in the altar by the Nativity of our Lord, and have the frescoes in the main dome done by Pascha 2010.
