Rocky Hill, NJ: ROCOR’s First Hierarch celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Elizabeth the New Martyr Church

On Sunday, February 28, the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Elizabeth the New Martyr Church in Rocky Hill, NJ. His Eminence was co-served by parish rector Archpriest David Straut. During the Sixth Hour, the Metropolitan tonsured Seraphim Komleski a reader, and then ordained him a subdeacon. Upon completion of the Liturgy, the First Hierarch awarded parish trustee and longtime benefactor George Patrick Brien a certificate of appreciation (gramota). After the Liturgy, a bountiful luncheon was held in honor of Metropolitan Hilarion’s archpastoral visit.
