Bishop of the Antiochian Church visited Holy Cross Monastery
On
Sunday, April 18, the Sunday of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women, His
Grace, the Right Reverend Bishop Thomas of Charleston, Oakland, and
the Mid-Atlantic (Antiochian Orthodox Church), visited Holy
Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV. His Grace celebrated the
Divine Liturgy in the local Antiochian church, after which he then
visited the monastery, where he met with His Grace George, Bishop of
Mayfield. A warm reception was held for Bp. Thomas, who is a long time
friend and supporter of the monastery, and all the clergy in Bp.
George's residence. Bishop Thomas and those traveling with him prayed
in the main monastery church during the
Vespers service.
