Washington, DC: Bishop George celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. John the Baptist Cathedral

On Saturday evening the 11th and Sunday the 12th of September, on the day of the translation of the relics of the Holy Right-Believing Great Prince Alexander Nevsky, His Grace George, Bishop of Mayfield, led the divine services in St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Washington, DC. On Sunday, His Grace celebrated the early Divine Liturgy in English, co-served by Hieromonk Alexander (Frizzell; resident of Holy Cross Monastery) and parish clerics: Priest John Johnson, Protodeacon John Cavin, and Deacon John Dean. During the Liturgy, Bishop George ordained Subdeacon Victor Klimenko to the diaconate. The newly ordained deacon is assigned to the cathedral.
