Sea Cliff, NY: The OCA Primate, the DECR Chairman, and the ROCOR First Hierarch visited St. Seraphim’s Church

On Monday, August 30, His Beatitude Jonah, Metropolitan of All America and Canada, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, and Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York visited St. Seraphim’s Church in Sea Cliff, NY, reports the official parish website. The distinguished guests venerated the relics and familiarized themselves with the church’s ongoing frescoing, dedicated to the Millennial Path of the Russian Orthodox Church and to the restoration within Her of full brotherly communion.

Parish rector Archpriest Serafim Gan and Protodeacon Paul Wolkow (parish cleric) greeted the distinguished guests and told them about the church’s history and the relics it houses. During the luncheon that followed, hosted by His Beatitude, Metropolitan Jonah, the hierarchs discussed pressing issues of Church life in the United States.
