Glen Cove, NY: Bishop Jerome led services in the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin

gc.lg.jpg (47323 bytes)On Wednesday the 13th and Thursday the 14th of October, the feast of the Protection of the Mother of God, the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin & St. Sergius in Glen Cove, NY, celebrated its patronal feast day. On Wednesday night, His Grace Jerome, Bishop of Manhattan, served the All-Night Vigil, co-served by rector Priest Alexandre Antchoutine, Protodeacon Paul Wolkow and Deacon Eugene Kallaur (clerics of St. Seraphim of Sarov Church in Sea Cliff, NY).

The following morning, His Grace celebrated the Divine Liturgy, co-served by Archpriest Alexei Ohotin (rector of Holy Annunciation Church in Flushing, NY), Archpriest Serafim Gan (rector of St. Seraphim of Sarov Church in Sea Cliff), Archpriest George Zelenin (rector of St. Michael’s Cathedral in Paterson, NJ), Priest Igor Tarasov (rector of St. George’s Church in Bayside, NY), Priest Andrei Kortusov (rector of St. Michael’s Church in Newark, NJ), Priest Alexandre Antchoutine, Protodeacon Paul Wolkow, Deacon Eugene Kallaur, and Deacon Nathan Mousselli (cleric of St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Lakewood, NJ). The church was filled with parishioners and guests from surrounding parishes. After a moleben and procession around the church, everybody was invited to a church hall for a bountiful luncheon. All was very beautiful and peaceful as usual. Bishop Jerome expressed his gratitude to the parishioners for their warm welcome and hard work in preparing for the feast.
