Wayne, WV: Bishop George led the divine services in Holy Cross Monastery on the Feast of the Holy Optina Elders

On Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd of October, on the feast of the Holy Optina Elders, His Grace, Bishop George of Mayfield, led the divine services in Holy Cross Monastery. His Grace was co-served by the monastery clergy. Praying during the divine services was Priest Mark Tyson (rector of St. Mary's Church in Bluefield, WV).

During the Liturgy, Bishop George elevated Heirodeacon Nektarios to the priesthood. The newly ordained Hieromonk Nektarios will continue his service as a clergyman of Holy Cross Monastery.
