rh.lg.jpg (48813 bytes)On Sunday, October 31, His Grace George, Bishop of Mayfield, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Elizabeth the New Martyr Church in Rocky Hill, NJ. His Grace was co-served by parish rector Archpriest David Straut and Deacon Leonid Roschko (cleric of St. George’s Church in Howell, NJ). During the Sixth Hour, Vladyka tonsured parishioner Stephanos Bibas a reader, then ordaining Reader Sergio Silva a subdeacon.

In his sermon, Bishop George spoke of the Parable of the Sower, instructing all to preserve their Orthodox faith in the face of faintheartedness and the vanities of this world. Upon completion of the Liturgy, Fr. David greeted His Grace and expressed his joy on the occasion of his first archpastoral visit to St. Elizabeth’s Church.

After the service, a bountiful luncheon was offered in the parish hall.
