Passaic, NJ: The Patronal Feast Day of Sts. Cosmas and Damian Church

On Sunday, November 14, Sts. Cosmas and Damian Church in Passaic, NJ celebrated its patronal feast day. His Grace Jerome, Bishop of Manhattan, celebrated the Divine Liturgy. His Grace was co-served by Archpriest George Larin (Dean of the Upstate and New England deaneries), Priest Ilya Gun, parish rector Priest Dmitri Don, Protodeacon Dimitri Temidis (cleric of Holy Virgin Protection Church in Nyack, NY), and Deacon Vladimir Oliynyk (cleric of Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia Church in Brooklyn, NY) and Deacon John Viegas. During the Liturgy, Bishop Jerome ordained Deacon John Vieages to the priesthood.

After the Liturgy, a short moleben was served to the church’s heavenly patrons, Sts. Cosmas and Damian. The festivities continued in the refectory, where the parish sisterhood prepared a bountiful luncheon.
