Beckley, WV: The Kursk Root Icon visited St. Nicholas Church

On Thursday, December 23, the Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God left the capital of West Virginia and departed for the southern reaches of the state, to the city of Beckley, where it visited St. Nicholas Antiochian Church. There a paraklesis was served to the Most Holy Theotokos. The service was led by parish rector Priest Samuel Haddad, co-served by Archpriest Serge Lukianov and Hieromonk Alexander (Frizzell), who were accompanying the wonderworking image.

Upon completion of the moleben, Fr. Serge presented the rector with a copy of the Kursk Icon with a commemorative plaque on behalf of the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad.
