Jordanville: Orthodox Men’s Retreat at Holy Trinity Monastery

On Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of March, Orthodox men of all ages visited Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, for the Orthodox Men’s Pilgrimage, organized by members of St. Xenia’s Church in Methuen, MA. The pilgrims were led by parish rector Archpriest Michael Crowley.

On Saturday morning, several of the pilgrims assisted as altar servers for the Divine Liturgy. After lunch, the group met with Archimandrite Luke, abbot of Holy Trinity Monastery, who gave a talk touching on issues such as the fundamentals of spiritual life and the life and history of the monastery. The group was then led by seminarians Anthony Williams and Ephraim Willmarth on a tour of the monastery grounds, including the church, baptistery, seminary, and icon studio.

The pilgrims attended the Divine Liturgy on Sunday and received Holy Communion. The group then gathered for a final group picture in memory of their visit to Jordanville before parting ways.
