Lakewood, NJ
: Bishop Jerome of Manhattan celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

On Bright Monday, April 25, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Lakewood, NJ. His Grace was co-served by cathedral rector Protopresbyter Valery Lukianov, Archimandrite Ioann (Magramm; cleric of the Mid-American Diocese), who accompanied His Grace, and cathedral clerics Priest Sergio Silva and Deacon Nathan Mousselli.

During the singing of the Paschal hours, Bishop Jerome tonsured alter server Vladimir Khlystov a reader. During the communion of the clergy, His Grace delivered a festal sermon, congratulating the faithful with the glorious feast of Pascha; upon completion of the Liturgy, a procession was held around the cathedral. The rector, Fr. Valery, then greeted His Grace, thanking him for his archpastoral visit.

In keeping with annual parish tradition, an Easter egg hunt was organized for parish children, and the children were all allowed a chance to ring the bells. A bountiful festal luncheon was offered in the parish hall.
