Belle Vernon, PA: The Kursk Root Icon visited St. Basil the Great Church

On Saturday, January 23, the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God visited St. Basil the Great Church in Belle Vernon, PA. After the Icon was greeted with a cross procession, a moleben was served in the church, led by Eastern American Diocesan secretary Archpriest Serge Lukianov, co-served by parish rector Priest Dionysi Vitali and Priest Dimitri Ermakov (rector of Holy Virgin Dormition Church in McKeesport, PA). Also praying in church were His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan Vicar Bishop George of Mayfield, and other clerics of West Pennsylvania. Upon completion of the moleben, His Grace delivered a sermon on the importance of venerating the miraculous icon and then presented the parish a copy of the Kursk Icon with a commemorative plaque on behalf of Metropolitan Hilarion.
