Jordanville, NY: The Kursk Root Icon visited Holy Trinity Monastery

On Thursday, January 27, the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God visited Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY. The clergy and brethren of the monastery, led by monastery abbot Archimandrite Luke, greeted the Icon to the peal of bells. A moleben and akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos were served in the lower St. Job of Pochaev Church of Holy Trinity Cathedral. Upon completion of the moleben, the Icon visited the homes of some of the monastery’s neighbors, of whom several suffer from various ailments. The Icon then departed for Albany. Additional photos are available on the monastery website.

The Icon will return to Holy Trinity Monastery for one week on February 25th - March 4th.
