Lakewood, NJ: The Feast of the Forty Martyrs of Sebaste in St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

On Tuesday, March 22, on the feast of the Forty Martyrs of Sebaste, clergy and laity in St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Lakewood, NJ, celebrated the namesday of cathedral rector and New Jersey Dean Protopresbyter Valery Lukianov, senior-most cleric of the Eastern American Diocese. Fr. Valery officiated the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts, co-served by Archpriest George Kallaur (rector of the Church of the Mother of God "Unexpected Joy" in Staten Island, NY), diocesan secretary Archpriest Serge Lukianov, Priest Jonah Campbell (cleric of St. George’s Church in Howell, NJ), parish clerics Priest Sergio Silva, Protodeacon Nicholas Lukianov, and Deacon Nathan Mousselli, and Deacon Paul Drozdowski (cleric of St. Vladimir Memorial Church in Jackson, NJ). Also praying in church was Archdeacon Eugene Burbelo.

Upon completion of the service a moleben was served, after which Fr. Serge greeted Fr. Valery on behalf of the First Hierarch and the Diocesan Council, congratulating him on his namesday, as well as Fr. George Kallaur, on the 30th anniversary of his ordination to the diaconate.
