: Bishop George visited St. Elizabeth the New-Martyr Church

On Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of July, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop George of Mayfield, performed an Archpastoral visit to St. Elizabeth the New-Martyr Church in Columbia, SC, in honor of the parish’s patronal feast day (the martyric repose of Nun-Martyrs Princess Elizabeth and Barbara), which was took place on July 18.

At the Sunday All-Night Vigil and Divine Liturgy, His Grace was co-served by Archpriest Steven Ritter (cleric of St. Mary of Egypt Church in Atlanta, GA), Archpriest Onouphry Keith (rector of St. Nicholas Church in Fletcher, PA), parish rector Archpriest Mark Mancuso, Priest Anthony Bryant (rector of St. Katherine Church in Pelion, SC), parish Deacon Columba Wilson, and Deacon Jeremiah Davis (cleric of Holy Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV).

During the Sixth Hour, Bishop George awarded parish Reader Peter Popoff the orarion. Upon completion of the Liturgy, a short moleben was served to St. Elizabeth, after which Fr. Mark greeted His Grace, thanking him for his Archpastoral visit; the deacons then proclaimed the Polychronion for the guests and all parishioners. After the service, a bountiful luncheon was held in the parish hall.
