Jackson, NJ: Bishop Jerome celebrated the patronal feast day of St. Vladimir Memorial Church

On Saturday, July 28, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Vladimir Memorial Church on the occasion of the church’s patronal feast day. His Grace was co-served by Protopresbyter Valery Lukianov (New Jersey Dean and rector of St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Howell, NJ), Priest Seraphim Chemodakov (cleric of St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedal), deputy rector of the memorial church Priest Serge Ledkovsky, Protodeacon Nicholas Mokhoff and Deacon Nathan Mousselli (clerics of the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City), Deacon Anatoly Revitskyy (cleric of the Church of our Lady, Joy of All Who Sorrow, in Philadelphia, PA), and parish deacons Alexander Smida and Paul Drozdowski. Also praying in church was Archdeacon Eugene Burbelo.

In accordance with Diasporan tradition, the national St. Vladimir’s Day celebrations will be held on the last Sunday of July. This year, the celebration of the memory of St. Vladimir – the founder of Holy Russia and the first of the Russian saints, will be held on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of July in Jackson. The festivities will be led by the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad and ruling bishop of the Eastern American Diocese, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, co-served by His Grace, vicar Bishop George of Mayfield.
