Rocky Hill, NJ: Bishop Jerome led the patronal feast day in St. Elizabeth the New-Martyr Church

On Wednesday, July 18, on the feast of the translation of the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh and the martyric repose of the Nun Martyresses Grand Duchess Elizabeth and Barbara, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Elizabeth the New-Martyr Church in Rocky Hill, NJ, on the occasion of the patronal feast day.

At Liturgy, His Grace was co-served by diocesan secretary Archpriest Serge Lukianov, Archpriest George Kurtow (rector of St. Seraphim of Sarov Church in Seaside, CA), parish rector Archpriest David Straut, Priest Thaddeus Franta (acting rector of Holy Trinity Church OCA in Rahway, NJ), Deacon Nathan Mousselli (cleric of the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City), Deacon Paul Drozdowski (cleric of St. Vladimir Memorial Church in Jackson, NJ), and parish Deacon Seraphim Komleski. Also praying in church was parish Deacon Steven Barker.

During the Sixth Hour, Bishop Jerome ordained parish Reader Stephanos Bibas a subdeacon. Upon completion of the Liturgy, a short moleben was served to St. Elizabeth, after which Fr. David greeted His Grace, thanking him for his Archpastoral visit. A luncheon was then held in the parish hall of a nearby Protestant church.
