Miami, FL: Metropolitan Hilarion led the funeral of Archpriest Damian Criscella

On Tuesday, November 27, the faithful of the Eastern American Diocese gathered in St. Vladimir’s Church in Miami, FL for the funeral of Archpriest Damian Criscella. The Liturgy for the Departed was served by the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York, co-served by Eastern American Diocesan secretary Archpriest Serge Lukianov, St. Vladimir’s Church rector Archpriest Daniel McKenzie, and a group of clergy from several jurisdictions, who came to bid farewell to their brother priest.

Upon completion of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Hilarion led the funeral service. The First Hierarch was co-served by the above-mentioned clergy.

The eulogy was delivered by His Eminence. After the funeral, a procession was performed around the church, after which the burial was held at a local cemetery. A memorial repast was then served in the parish hall. Memory eternal to Fr. Damian!
