Newark, NJ: Metropolitan Hilarion led the Patronal Feast Day of Our Lady of Kazan Church

On Sunday, November 4, on the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of Our Lady of Kazan in Newark, NJ. His Eminence was co-served by parish rector Archpriest Mark Burachek, Priest Ilya Gun, and Protodeacon Dimitri Temidis (cleric of Holy Virgin Protection Church in Nyack, NY).

During the Little Entrance, His Eminence awarded Fr. Mark the jeweled cross for his 26 years of faithful service to the Holy Church.

Upon completion of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Hilarion addressed the gathered faithful with a sermon, after which a luncheon was held in the parish hall. Photos of the feast in Newark are available to our visitors below.
