Howell, NJ: Archpriest Artemy Vladimirov will visit the Eastern American Diocese

In connection with the upcoming joint clergy conference the Eastern American Diocese and the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, to be held in honor of the fifth anniversary of the Reunification of the Russian Orthodox Church, renowned homilist and author Archpriest Artemy Vladimirov will visit the Diocese. With the blessing of His Holiness, Patriarch Kyrill, Fr. Artemy’s visit to the Diocese will last from October 6-15.

On Sunday, October 7, Fr. Artemy will co-serve the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, in St. George’s Church in Howell, NJ, at services marking the 30th anniversary of the ordination of Eastern American Diocesan secretary Archpriest Serge Lukianov.

At the pastoral conference, Fr. Artemy will deliver two lectures on the topics "Five Pillars of Pastoral Care" and "Humanity in the Moral Character of the Modern Pastor." Only registered participants of the pastoral conference may be present at the lectures, which will be recorded and published on the diocesan website following the conference.

On Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of October, on the feast of the Protection of the Mother of God, Fr. Artemy will lead the divine services in St. George’s Church in Howell, co-served by a multitude of diocesan clergy, and will then return to Moscow.

Those who would like to come and visit Fr. Artemy may do so at St. George’s Church on October 7, 13, and 14.

The general public will not be admitted to the pastoral conference.
