Bishop Jerome pays Archpastoral Visit to Holy Trinity Monastery & Entrance of the Mother of God Church

On Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of December, His Grace, Bishop Jerome, paid an Archpastoral visit to upstate New York. On Saturday night, His Grace led the All-Night Vigil at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, co-served by monastery clergy.

The following morning, Bishop Jerome proceeded to the Church of the Entrance into the Temple of the Most Holy Theotokos in Syracuse, accompanied by a "delegation" from Jordanville consisting of Protodeacon Victor Lochmatow, Deacon Peter Markevich, Reader Vitaly Permiakov (a professor at Holy Trinity Seminary), and two seminarians. His Grace celebrated the Divine Liturgy, co-served by parish rector Archpriest Nicholas Tkatschow and the Jordanville deacons.

Bishop Jerome delivered a sermon in Russian on the words of the Gospel: "Mary hath chosen that good part" (Luke 10:42) and one in English on the words "He hath made both one" (Ephesians 2:14). After the service, a bountiful lenten luncheon was prepared by the parish sisterhood.
