Atlanta, GA: Parish Life in the Church of our Lady, Joy of All Who Sorrow

Last week, the second stage in the construction of a new church in the parish of the Mother of God, Joy of All who Sorrow, in Cumming, GA was completed. The building frame and exterior walls were constructed, and windows and doors were installed.

In honor of this event, with the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, after the Divine Liturgy on Sunday February 3, a thanksgiving moleben was served in the new building.

Now the parish has to construct the dome, the interior walls, electric, and plumbing, followed by frescoing the new church.

The parish asks for assistance in the construction of the new church of the Mother of God. We ask your prayers and donations.

More information about the parish and a link to the donation page can be found on http://orthodoxinfo.biz/Default.aspx.
