Sea Cliff, NY: Bishop Jerome led the Divine Services in St. Seraphim Memorial Church on the Sunday of the Forefathers

On December 30, the Sunday of the Holy Forefathers, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Seraphim Memorial Church to the Reunification of the Russian Church in Sea Cliff, NY. Bishop Jerome was co-served by parish rector Archpriest Serafim Gan, Archpriest Ilya Gorsky (cleric of Holy Virgin Protection Church in Nyack, NY), Protodeacon Paul Wolkow and Deacon Eugene Kallaur (parish clerics), and Deacon Victor Ganson (cleric of Holy Epiphany Church in Boston, MA). During the Little Entrance, in accordance with the resolution of the Synod of Bishops, His Grace elevated Fr. Eugene to the rank of protodeacon.

Before the kissing of the cross, the rector greeted Bishop Jerome, expressing his gratitude for the joint celebration of the Divine Liturgy in St. Seraphim Church. Fr. Serafim then congratulated Fr. Eugene, for whom Fr. Paul intoned the Polychronion. At a luncheon prepared by the parish sisterhood, parishioners expressed their heartfelt congratulations to Fr. Eugene, presenting him with an antique icon of the Savior, while the parish clergy presented him a copy of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.
