, GA: Bishop Jerome led the patronal feast day of Glorious Ascension Monastery

On Wednesday the 12th and Thursday the 13th of June, on the great feast of the Ascension of the Lord, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, paid an Archpastoral visit to Resaca, GA, where he led the patronal feast day of Glorious Ascension Monastery.

His Grace served Great Vespers on Wednesday evening, co-served by Archimandrite Maximos (Weimar; abbot of Holy Cross Brotherhood in East Setauket, NY), Archpriest Steven Ritter (temporary administrator of the monastery), Priest Michael Dunstan (rector of St. Brigid of Kildare Mission in West Point, MS), Priest Benedict Simpson, and Hierodeacon Parthenios (Miller; cleric of Holy Cross Brotherhood).

The following morning, Bishop Jerome led the festal Divine Liturgy, co-served by Fr. Maximos, Fr. Steven, Priest Job Watts, (rector of St. Nektarios Church in Lenoir City, TN), Priest Eugene Antonov (rector of Joy of All Who Sorrow Church in Atlanta, GA), Fr. Michael, and Fr. Parthenios.

After the service, a bountiful luncheon was served in the monastery refectory, where those present were joined by Archpriest Stavos Rousos, who came to share in the joy of the radiant feast.
