Jordanville, NY: Bishop Jerome led the Triumph of Orthodoxy at Holy Trinity
Monastery

On Monday, March 25, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, visited Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY. His Grace celebrated the Divine Liturgy, co-served by monastery and local clergy. The Rite of Orthodoxy was then performed; the Synodicon was read aloud by Protodeacon Joseph Jarostchuk (cleric of St. John of Kronstadt Memorial Church in Utica, NY).

On Monday morning, His Grace met with instructors and students of Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary. The meeting took place within the coursework of Canon Law, the subject that strongly demands guidance from an Orthodox bishop. Bishop Jerome, who has many years of pastoral experience, commented on a number of complex issues related to the field of ecclesiastical law.

His Grace also shared his experience of the interpretation of Church canons. The meeting brought together instructors of Church Law and Liturgical Theology, administration, and fifth year seminarians, who expressed hope that such meetings will continue.
