Newark, NJ: Metropolitan Hilarion leads Patronal Feast Day of Our Lady of Kazan Church

On Monday, November 4, on the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad led the patronal feast day of the Church of Our Lady of Kazan in Newark, NJ.

At the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, was co-served by His Grace, diocesan vicar Bishop George of Mayfield, and local clergy:

Also praying in church was Archpriest Alexander Fedorowski (cleric of Holy Dormiton Convent "Novo-Diveevo" in Nanuet, NY).

Upon completion of the Liturgy, Fr. Mark greeted the First Hierarch, expressing gratitude to his ruling bishop on behalf of parishioners for the Archpastoral visit. After the service, a bountiful luncheon was provided by the sisterhood in the parish hall.
