Wayne, WV: Bishop George leads Palm Sunday Divine Services in Holy Cross Monastery and Christ the Savior Church

On Saturday, April 12, the eve of the Great Feast of the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem (Palm Sunday), His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop George of Mayfield, led the festal divine services in Holy Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV. His Grace was co-served by monastery clergy. After the reading of the Gospel was performed the blessing of the palms and pussy willows, which were then distributed to the brethren and pilgrims.

The following morning, His Grace paid an Archpastoral visit to the neighboring parish of Christ the Savior in Wayne and celebrated the Divine Liturgy. Bishop George was co-served by monastery dean Hieromonk Alexander (Frizzell), parish rector Priest Jonah Campbell, and Deacon Jeremiah Davis (attached to the monastery).
