Brooklyn, NY: New York City Dean meets with Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams

In early March, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce President Carlo Scissura gathered with religious and faith-based leaders from across Brooklyn. As reported on the official website of the New York City Deanery, President Adams also met with the dean, Archpriest Alexander Belya, and expressed his interest in having Fr. Alexander – on behalf of his flock ‒ take active part in discussing the needs and concerns of Brooklyn residents.

In turn, the rector of St. John the Baptist Church thanked the Brooklyn President for his readiness to listen to the voice of the Russian-speaking Diaspora, and assured him that he will always be prepared to take part in discussing any potential projects involved in growing and developing Brooklyn for the benefit of all of its residents, including the faithful of the Orthodox community therein.
