Jordanville, NY: Archbishop Gabriel leads Feast of Holy Royal Martyrs and Priestly Ordination at Holy Trinity Monastery

On Thursday, July 17, the feast of the Holy Royal Martyrs, with the blessing of Metropolitan Hilarion, His Eminence Gabriel, Archbishop of Montreal & Canada, paid an archpastoral visit to Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY. His Eminence was co-served at the Divine Liturgy by monastery abbot Archimandrite Luke (Murianka), Archpriest Chad Williams (rector of St. Alexander Nevsky Church in Richmond, ME), Archpriest Vladimir Tsurikov, and visiting and monastery clergy.

After the Great Entrance, Deacon Ephraim Willmarth (monastery cleric and administrative assistant at Holy Trinity Seminary in Jordanville) was ordained to the priesthood. The newly ordained Priest Ephraim will continue his service at Holy Trinity Monastery and Seminary.

That day, the monastery also hosted scouts from the local St. George Pathfinders of America (SGPA) camp, based in Northville, NY, who perform a pilgrimage to Holy Trinity Monastery once a year as part of the camp’s program. Upon completion of the Liturgy, they joined the rest of the faithful in greeting and congratulating Fr. Ephraim and Matushka Joanna on the occasion of his ordination.
