Howell, NJ: Commemorative Book to be Printed in Honor of 30th Anniversary of Episcopal Consecration of Russian Church Abroad’s First Hierarch

2014 marks the 30th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad and Ruling Bishop of the Eastern American Diocese. On the feast day of the Protectress of the Russian Diaspora, December 10, 1984, Archimandrite Hilarion was consecrated Bishop of Manhattan in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign. The consecration was performed by the third First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, Metropolitan Philaret (Voznesensky). This and other well-known ‒ as well as lesser-known ‒ events in the life of our First Hierarch will be revealed in a full-color album containing hundreds of color photographs and letters illustrating the Metropolitan’s life and his longtime dedicated service to the Holy Church.

Your parish, organization, company, family, or you personally can express your words of thanks and make a contribution to the creation of this commemorative book. Doing so is easy: you can purchase a page or part of a page in the book, where your congratulations will be printed, with the included option of adding a logo or photograph.

The celebrations honoring Metropolitan Hilarion’s hierarchal service will be held alongside another important event ‒ the 80th Anniversary of the Eastern American Diocese. You can become a sponsor of these events by making a donation within your means. More information is available here.
