Munich: Archbishop Mark elevates Hieromonk Nicholas (Olhovsky), elected Bishop of Manhattan, to rank of Archimandrite

As reported on the official website of the Russian Church Abroad, on Sunday, April 27, the Second Sunday of Pascha, at the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Holy New Martyrs & Confessors of Russia and in the presence of the Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God, in accordance with a resolution of the Synod of Bishops, His Eminence Mark, Archbishop of Berlin & Germany, elevated Hieromonk Nicholas (Olhovsky), to the rank of archimandrite. Fr. Nicholas has been elected to be consecrated Bishop of Manhattan.

The episcopal consecration of Archimandrite Nicholas will be held in "Joy of All Who Sorrow" Cathedral in San Francisco on June 29, during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the glorification of the Holy Hierarch & Wonderworker John (Maximovich).
