Nanuet, NY: On Thomas Sunday, Archbishop Gabriel celebrates Liturgy in Novo-Diveevo

On St. Thomas Sunday, April 27, with the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal & Canada celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Holy Dormition Convent "Novo-Diveevo" in Nanuet, NY. He was co-served by convent clergy ‒ Archpriest Alexander Fedorowski, Archimandrite Peter (Kondratyev), and Protodeacon Serge Arlievsky; guest clergy from Holy Virgin Protection Church in Nyack, NY ‒ Archpriest George Larin, Archpriest Ilya Gorsky, and Protodeacon Eugene Kallaur; as well as Protodeacon Eugene Kallaur (cleric of St. Seraphim Memorial Church in Sea Cliff, NY).

Following the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence led a procession to the cemetery, where a general memorial service for the souls of all departed Orthodox Christians was served.

Upon completion of the service and throughout the day, clergy served graveside memorial services through the cemetery, while the faithful, commemorating their departed loved ones, spent the day in joyous Paschal interaction.
