Sea Cliff, NY: Clergy of New York City Deanery hold Meeting at St. Seraphim Memorial Church

On Thursday, October 16, a meeting of the clergy of the New York City Deanery of the Eastern American Diocese was held at St. Seraphim Memorial Church in Sea Cliff, NY. Taking part in the meeting were His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad; His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan; New York City dean Archpriest Alexander Belya; diocesan secretary Archpriest Serge Lukianov; and deanery clerics:

- Archpriest Serafim Gan (rector of St. Seraphim Memorial Church)
- Archpriest Boris Oparin (rector of St. Joasaph of Belgorod Church in Brooklyn)

Prior to the start of the meeting, Fr. Serafim served a moleben to the memorial church’s heavenly patron, Venerable Seraphim of Sarov. The rector warmly greeted the bishops and clergy, and led them on a tour of the church, explaining in detail the church’s new frescoing project. Meeting participants gathered at a meal lovingly prepared by Elena Gan, at which they were able to interact in an informal atmosphere, sharing thoughts and posing questions to the bishops and one another, discussing various issues relating to parish life.
