Brooklyn, NY: Inexhaustible Chalice Church moves to New Location

With God’s help and the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, Inexhaustible Chalice Church in the Brighton Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY has moved to a new location. In January 2015, the parish officially leased a property at 719 Ocean View Avenue. Metropolitan Hilarion and His Grace Nicholas, Bishop of Manhattan, visited the property to ensure its suitability and bless the undertaking.

Temporarily assigned as parish administrator is Archpriest Alexandre Antchoutine (member of the Diocesan Council), while regular divine services are conducted by his assistant, Hieromonk Elipheriy (Skiba). On Wednesday, February 11, Fr. Alexandre visited the new church site with the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God, and served a moleben and akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos.

The new site is a legal commercial space, and construction will begin in the near future to give the property the look and feel of an Orthodox house of worship. Much work remains to be done, and anyone willing or able to donate to the opening of the new Inexhaustible Chalice Church is encouraged to contact Fr. Alexandre by phone at (516) 669-1450 or e-mail at RevAntchoutine@aol.com. Donations can also be sent to:

Please note: St. John’s Mercy House has not moved to the new site with the parish, although properties are being sought for its relocation, so that missionary work among the homeless may continue in Brooklyn.
