New York City: Bishop Nicholas leads Divine Services for Transfiguration of the Lord in Synodal Cathedral

On Thursday the 18th and Friday the 19th of August, on the great feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, vicar of the Eastern American Diocese, led the All-Night Vigil and Divine Liturgy in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City. His Grace was co-served by cathedral clerics: senior priest Archpriest Andrei Sommer, Abbot Anthony (Kamenchuk; cleric of the Diocese of Vladivostok), Hieromonk Eutychius (Dovganyuk), and Protodeacon Nicolas Mokhoff.

Bishop Nicholas congratulated the clergy and parishioners with the feast and, in accordance with Orthodox tradition, blessed the grapes, apples, and other fruits of the harvest.

Upon completion of the Liturgy, the cathedral sisterhood organized a festal luncheon for the clergy and faithful.
