On Saturday, November 21, on the feast day of the Archangel Michael and the other Heavenly Bodiless Hosts, His Grace, Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Michael's Cathedral in Paterson, NJ, on the occasion of the parish's patronal feast day. His Grace was co-served by Mitred Archpriest Alexander Fedorowsky (Novo-Diveevo), cathedral rector Archpriest George Zelenin, Archpriest Mark Burachek (Newark, NJ), Priest Alexandre Antchoutine (Glen Cove, NY), Priest Dmitri Don (Passaic, NJ), Protodeacon Serge Arlievsky (Novo-Diveevo), Deacon Dimitri Temidis, and Deacon Nathan Mousselli (Lakewood, NJ). During the Sixth Hour, His Grace tonsured to the rank of reader John Zelenin. Reader John, son of rector Archpriest George Zelenin, is assigned to St. Michael's Cathedral. During the Liturgy, the clergy commemorated His newly departed Holiness, Patriarch Pavle of Serbia, as well as the ever-memorable Metropolitan Philaret. The parish choir beautifully adorned the service with their prayerful singing, in the presence of a multitude of the faithful from all across the New Jersey deanery.
