Boston: Archbishop Mark of Berlin and
Germany led the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Epiphany
On
Saturday, August 29, Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany arrived in
Boston, accompanied by Deacon Dimitri Temidis. On Sunday, Archbishop
Mark celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Epiphany,
co-served by Archimandrite Joasaph (MacLellan), head of ROCOR's
Orthodox Mission in Jerusalem, Priest Victor Boldewskul, rector of
Epiphany Church, and Priest Thomas Reske, in addition to Protodeacon
Alexander Jarostchuk and Deacon Victor Ganson. Upon completion of the
Liturgy, Fr. Victor made note of the fact that this was His Grace's
first visit to Epiphany Church; he expressed hope that His Grace would
visit again, and thanked him for his prayers. Immediately following
this, the polychronion was pronounced on behalf of Archbishop Mark,
Archbishop Alipy of Chicago and the Midwest (on account of his
namesday), and Matushka Irene Lukianoff, who turned 82 that day, After
the Liturgy, Archbishop Mark met with Archimandrite Joasaph, taking
leave in the evening with Fr. Victor to Holy Trinity Monastery, where
on Monday he took part in a panihida to Metropolitan Laurus on the
feast day of Sts. Florus and Laurus.
