Howell, NJ: Greeting of the Diocesan Council to all visitors of the Eastern American Diocese website

From the Editors: A meeting of the Diocesan Council was held on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 in Howell, NJ, presided over by Bishop George of Mayfield. Having reviewed the Media Office's project of the new diocesan website, the members of the council approved the site and issued the following statement: 

Reverend Fathers, brothers and sisters in Christ,
     Welcome to the official website of the Eastern American and New York Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. With God's help, this website will become a valuable spiritual and informational resource for all the parishes of our diocese. The newly formed Diocesan Media Office will be responsible for establishing and maintaining communication through the website between the administration and the parishes. The website has been designed to reflect the life of our diocese through the eyes of all parishes, big and small. We encourage all the faithful of the diocese to participate in this endeavor by sending in photographs and stories of life from throughout the diocese. God willing, this website will help to strengthen and unify our diocese so that we may better serve the Lord on this earth and attain eternal life in the heavenly kingdom.
