Wayne, WV: Bishop George led Great Friday Matins with the reading of the Twelve Passion Gospels of our Savior

On April 12, Great Thursday evening, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop George of Mayfield, in the main church of Holy Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV, led Great Friday Matins with the reading of the Twelve Passion Gospels of our Lord and God and Savior Jesus Christ, co-served by monastery clergy.

Upon completion of the service, His Grace delivered a brief sermon on the meaning of the Passion Gospels, the sufferings of our Savior on the Cross, and their role in the salvation of man.
