Endicott, NY: The Myrrh-Streaming Icon of the Mother of God "Softener of Evil Hearts" visited St. Nicholas Church

On Wednesday, April 4, the myrrh-streaming icon of the Mother of God "Softener of Evil Hearts" visited St. Nicholas Church in Endicott, NY. After sincerely thanking Sergey Fomin for bringing the holy icon to the joy of parishioners, parish rector Priest Stephanos Shagoury served an moleben and akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos before the wonderworking icon, co-served by Hieromonk Cyprian (Alexandrou; cleric of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville). Upon completion of the akathist, all of the faithful came up to venerate the icon, and were anointed them with holy myrrh therefrom. Following the service, a reception was held for the guests and parishioners in the parish hall.
