Press Release from the Diocesan Office: The Fifth Anniversary of the
Reunification and Pastoral Conference have been postponed
With
the blessing of the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His
Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York, and
the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His
Eminence Justinian, Archbishop of Naro-Fominsk, the Joint Pastoral
Conference in honor of the Fifth Anniversary of the Reunification of
the Russian Church Abroad the Moscow Patriarchate has been
postponed. In light of recent difficulties obtaining a proper visa
to enter the United States, Metropolitan Hilarion will not be able
to return from Australia in time for the conference in June. It is
expected that His Eminence will return to the United States at the
end of June.
The Joint Pastoral Conference of ROCOR and MP clergy will take place
October 11-13 at Holy Virgin Protection Church in Nyack, NY. The
All-Night Vigil on Friday, October 12, will be held at Holy
Dormition Convent in Novo-Diveevo, NY, and the Divine Liturgy will
be celebrated at Three Saints Patriarchal Church in Garfield, NJ on
Saturday, October 13.
The General Meeting of the Eastern American Diocese, previously
scheduled for June 6, will take place as a one-day affair, shortly
after Met. Hilarion’s return to the United States. Detailed
information will be published on the diocesan website as it becomes
available.

inconvenience that this unforeseen change in schedule may have

updates on the upcoming celebration of the Fifth Anniversary of the
Reunification. It is expected that registration for the conference
will begin in June.
