Poughkeepsie, NY: Bishop Jerome paid an archpastoral visit to St. Nicholas Church

On Sunday, June 17, the Sunday of All Russian Saints His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, paid an archpastoral visit to St. Nicholas Church in Poughkeepsie, NY and celebrated the Divine Liturgy. His Grace was co-served by Archpriest Victor Tseshkovsky (rector of the Nativity of the Mother of God Church at the New Kursk Root Hermitage in Mahopac, NY), parish rector Archpriest Alexander Donchenko, Deacon Nathan Mousselli (cleric of the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City), who was accompanying the bishop, and Deacon George Temidis (cleric of the Nativity of the Mother of God Church in Mahopac).

Upon completion of the Liturgy, Bishop Jerome delivered a sermon on the Sunday of All Russian Saints and the Gospel account of the calling of the Apostles. After the Liturgy, with the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, His Grace presented diocesan gramotas to parish council members Reader George Lukianoff and Mr. George Nikolsky for their many years of hard work in support of the parish.

A splendid lenten luncheon was then served, with warm and fraternal socializing by the faithful and the visiting clergy.
