Costa Rica: Priest Eugene Antonov performed a pastoral visit to
Costa Rica
On
April 22-25, with the blessing of ROCOR’s First Hierarch, His
Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York,
Priest Eugene Antonov (cleric of the Church of our Lady, "Joy of All
Who Sorrow" in Atlanta, GA) performed a missionary visit to Costa
Rica. Fr. Eugene came to hold the divine services in the
Church of our Lady of Vladimir,
currently under construction in Coronado. Fr. Eugene was accompanied
by his Matushka Irina.
During the course of his visit, Fr. Eugene performed the sacrament
of Baptism for an entire family, and led the divine services on
Thomas Sunday and Radonitsa. After the Liturgy on Radonitsa, a
procession was held, concluding with a general panihida at the
cemetery for all reposed parishioners at the grave of departed
rector Priest Rodion Aragon.
