Office is accepting orders for DVDs of the Divine Services during
the 5th Anniversary of the Reunification of the Russian Church
The Eastern
American Diocesan Media Office is offering DVDs of the divine
services held on October 11-13, at the
joint pastoral conference
held with clergy of the Moscow Patriarchate in honor of the fifth
anniversary of the Reunification of the Russian Church.
The conference
culminated with the divine services to the Hawaiian Iveron Icon of
the Mother of God that started streaming myrrh five years ago,
during the signing of the Act of Canonical Communion. The All-Night
Vigil was served in Holy Dormition Convent "Novo-Diveevo" in Nanuet,
NY, and sung by a joint male choir of singers from Holy Trinity and
St. Tikhon’s Seminaries, under the direction of Nicholas Kotar. The
Divine Liturgy was held in Three Saints Patriarchal Church in
Garfield, NJ and sung by the Moscow Sretensky Male Choir under the
direction of Nikon Zhila. Both services were led by the First
Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence, Metropolitan
Hilarion, who was co-served by four hierarchs.
The cost of the
Divine Liturgy DVD is $30 and the All-Night Vigil is $15. All
proceeds will go to the Eastern American Diocese to continue the
expansion of the Media Office’s video program. Liturgy DVDs will ship on
December 1st and Vigil DVD’s will ship on December 15th.
