Wayne, WV: Holy Cross Monastery will be holding a Matching Fund Drive for Project Kellia

From September 29 through November 30, Holy Cross Monastery will be holding a matching fund drive for Project Kellia, the goal of which is to construct a monastic dormitory, necessary for the monastery’s continued growth. An anonymous donor has pledged $15,000 in matching funds for Project Kellia.

Holy Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV is the fastest growing monastic community in the Eastern American Diocese. Over the past several years, the number of monks has grown exponentially. All of the monastic cells and other available living spaces have been occupied, and those who wish to enter the monastery must wait for new structures to be built, or must pay for the construction of their own cells.

Project Kellia will provide a monastic dormitory consisting of nine cells, an infirmary cell, and a medical dispensary. The monks expect that the cells will be filled immediately by novices currently living in temporary housing, and monastic candidates arriving in 2013.

Please donate generously ‒ each donation makes it possible for another man enter the monastery, in order to serve God, praying for the donors and for the whole world.

Make your donation below by credit card or PayPal, or by sending a check with "Project Kellia" in the memo line to:
