Wayne, WV: On Palm Sunday, Bishop George led the Divine Services in Holy Cross Monastery

On Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th of April, on the Great Feast of the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem (Palm Sunday), His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop George of Mayfield, led the festal divine services in Holy Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV. His Grace was co-served by the monastery’s deputy abbot, Abbot Seraphim (Voepel), and monastery clergy. After the reading of the Gospel, the blessing of the palms and pussy willows, which were then distributed to the brethren and pilgrims, was performed.

The following morning, Bishop George celebrated the Divine Liturgy, co-served by monastery clergy. Photos of the Palm Sunday services in Holy Cross Monastery are available below.
