The 77th Anniversary of the Repose of the Most Blessed Metropolitan Anthony (Khrapovitsky)

Saturday, August 10, will mark the 77th anniversary of the repose of His Beatitude, the ever-memorable Metropolitan Anthony (Khrapovitsky), first of the First Hierarchs of the Russian Church Abroad, Thanks to Metropolitan Anthony’s struggles, the Church Abroad was able to successfully navigate the most tumultuous years after her founding. We earnestly ask that all clergy commemorate the Most Blessed Metropolitan Anthony at the divine services this weekend, as well as the murdered Archpriest Pavel (Paul) Adelgeim, who was stabbed to death on August 5. August 13 marks his ninth day.

May the Lord God grant rest to the bright souls of the ever-memorable Most Blessed Metropolitan Anthony and Archpriest Pavel!
