New York City: The Feast of the Entrance of the Mother of God in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign

On Wednesday, December 4, on the great feast of the Entrance of the Most Holy Theotokos into the temple, the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City.

His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, was co-served by the cathedral’s senior priest Archpriest Andrei Sommer, Hieromonk Eutychius (Dovganyuk; cathedral cleric), Priest Michael Vladimirov (rector of Holy Trinity Church in Franklin, NY), Priest Igor Grytsyna (cleric of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY), Hieromonk Tikhon (Gayfudinov; the First Hierarch’s cell attendant), Synodal Protodeacon Nicholas Mokhoff, Hierodeacon Panteleimon (Jigalin; cleric of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission), and Deacon Nazari Fataliev (cathedral cleric). Also praying in the altar was His Grace, Bishop Jerome.

During the Sixth Hour, Barnabas Proctor was tonsured a reader. At the Little Entrance, His Eminence awarded Fr. Eutychius the palitsa, and Fr. Igor the nabedrennik.
