Nanuet, NY: Novo-Diveevo will celebrate the 60th anniversary of St. Seraphim’s Church

On Wedensday, July 31, and Thursday, August 1, the feast of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov, the 60th anniversary of the Church of St. Seraphim will be celebrated at Holy Dormition Convent Novo-Diveevo in Nanuet, NY.

On Wednesday, July 31 at 6:00 PM, the All-Night Vigil and reading of the akathist will be led by the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York.

On Thursday August 1 at 8:30 AM, the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God will be brought to St. Seraphim’s Church.

At 8:45 AM, an akafist will be read, followed by the lesser blessing of the waters.

At 9:30 AM – the greeting of Metropolitan Hilarion.

At 10:00 AM, the First Hierarch will celebrate the Divine Liturgy, co-served by Archbishop Justinian of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA. Upon completion of the Liturgy, a procession will be held around the church, followed by a festal luncheon for pilgrims after the service.
